The sun was shining and a cool, light westerly breeze stroked the fur of Mr Midnight and Sir Winston as they sat atop the boulders overlooking their kingdom. They often sat upon the boulders when they were in a philosophising mood and today, was one of those days.
(The patch of green Mr Midnight and Sir Winston adore.)
As usual Sir Winston, I can´t make head nor tail of the human psyche. They are a baffling lot aren´t they.
What are you going on about Mr Midnight? I must admit, human behaviour is sometimes difficult to get to grips with but I suppose it´s no different than a human trying to fathom out a cats behaviour.
You´re probably correct in your assumption Sir W. but at least we cats do not say things that aren´t true. We are always true to ourselves and never claim things that are simply not true.
I don´t know what you´re waffling on about Mr Midnight so perhaps you can lend me a paw to understand.
Well, I´ve noticed that among other things, human beings often claim that their health is one the most important things in their lives.
And what´s wrong with that?
The claim´s not true is it.
I think many must have a dose of that illness that creates fake activity – fake news I think they call it. Faking appears to be the sign-of-the-times.
Can you elaborate a little please?
How can human´s claim that their health is so important while at the same time, they seem to do very little for their health?
They must believe that one becomes ill just out of the blue and that they themselves, have nothing to do with their illness.
I believe that is indeed, the assumption of many human beings. I feel sorry for them in a way.
He could be wrong, but I`ve heard from Vladimir the Russian Blue pussycat from down the road that human beings are often unconcious of how they treat their bodies.
For example, they seem to always be attached to their mobile gadgets . . . .
. . . sorry for interrupting but I think they need the gadgets in which to get through life. The things appear to be very addictive – even life-saving.
There could be some truth to what you say Sir W.
Human beings will sadly, often eat their meals in a most unhealthy manner and I´ve heard from Mr Dog next door that their food quality is also not what it should be or what is suggested on the labels of their food.
From my observations, the majority appear to ignore the fact that modern human lifestyles destroy our environment. Human beings often don´t drink enough fluids. They don´t move about very much, apart from when wheels of some description are underneath their person and they frequently abuse their bodies by denying themselves enough quality sleep.
Quality sleep is something the humans could learn from us pussycats.
Sleeping allows our bodies to recharge for the next day. Without a recharge our energies eventually become exhausted. That´s when problems start to occur.
One has to feel sorry for the humans doesn´t one.
And that´s why I find their claim about their health being important to be somewhat bizarre.
If a person cannot take time to care for themself properly then who is going to look after them?
The human beings are certainly a baffling species sometimes.
I´m sure they´ll get the hang of how to go through life smoothly eventually. They just need a little more practice that´s all.
Perhaps the human beings should try to love themselves a little more and then some of their illnesses would perhaps, disappear.
Love is certainly good medicine Mr Midnight.
We both wish you human beings all the very best on your journey of discovery and hope that some of you discover the secret to staying nice and healthy. It really is up to you which way you decide to go.
Love from Mr Midnight and Sir Winston. xxx
